Community Alternatives for Disabled Individuals (CADI) Program

Promotes community living and independence by providing appropriate health care and support services based on individual needs.

If eligible, services provided include medically necessary hospital care, physician care, nursing services, prescription drugs, medical supplies and equipment, dental services, therapies, and medical transportation. Special services that are necessary to prevent nursing home placement may be available, such as case management, adaptations to home, vehicle, or equipment, homemaker services, respite care, adult day care, family counseling and training, foster care, independent living skills, extended home health services, assisted living, residential care services, and home delivered meals.

Center for Independent Living of Northeastern Minnesota; Mission: to assist individuals with disabilities to live independently, pursue meaningful goals, and have the same opportunities & choices as all people.

Advocacy, independent living skills, information and referral, peer/group support, Personal Care Assistance choice programs, instruction & support to high-school aged students (housing, employment, transportation, college, etc.), RAMP Project (temporary or permanent ramps to individuals who demonstrate need), public education, drivers' education, coffee/craft group, employment readiness, workplace (resumes, interview skills, assistive technology), special education help for school aged children, depression group, ADHD group, crafter group, multiple scleroses group
